Perimenopause is the time leading up to menopause when your hormones fluctuate and start to drop. For many women, this can happen from their late 30's / early 40's. But for others this can be a lot earlier or later. Hormone fluctuations cause most of us to experience physical and mental symptoms that can impair the way we function in daily life.
