About the Event

With the approach of the Holiday Season, and all that it brings, Rebecca Hill and Jane Sethi will be offering a live, introductory session on self compassion and mindfulness. Whether you are new to self-compassion work or have some familiarity, this will be a chance to spend time together, to learn and connect a little with our inner compassionate voice especially as we move into the festive period.

The session will start with a short explanation / reminder of self-compassion and the role that self kindness, mindfulness and common humanity perform in supporting us on our journey to greater self-compassion. This will be followed by a self-compassion based meditation with some gentle group discussion (typically called inquiry). It is entirely up to participants whether they wish to share as part of the discussion. We will wrap up the session with a reminder about creating some space for greater self-compassion during the Holiday Season. For the mediation part of the session, it can be helpful (but is not necessary) to have access to a mat, cushion(s) and blanket should participants choose to lie down. There is no strenuous exercise involved.
